Our story

Workleap was born after spending the better part of two decades asking ourselves a simple question: how can we craft software to make work simpler, kinder, and faster?

Over the years, we focused our energy on building great solutions to help businesses improve their talent management through engagement, performance and compensation.

2005
The Workleap founders meet
Simon De Baene and Guillaume Roy first met on initiation day at university, where they were both enrolled in the Software Engineering program. Simon then introduced Guillaume to Sébastien Leduc, his childhood best friend. The trio would become an inseparable team for years to come—one more interested in building things than being model students.
2006
Workleap (formerly GSoft) is born
It started as a service company focusing on building custom software for anyone willing to work with inexperienced yet highly motivated 20-year-old kids.

This picture shows the very first Workleap office in Montréal. Looking back to where we started reminds us how far we’ve come and why we do what we do. What Workleap has always been at its core is a team of people passionate about finding better solutions to make work simpler.
2021
Workleap settles in new offices in Montréal
We upgraded our brick-and-mortar home to our beautiful office in the Nordelec, a historical building in Montréal, where everyone gathers twice a year (and whenever they feel like it in between).

The 2020 pandemic forced us—and everyone else—to rethink our ways of working. We firmly believe in the power of remote work and will never look back. But we also believe in the magic that can happen in an inspiring office built for collaboration and connection.
